Overview
Stephen Ryan, defense lawyer for a Navy intelligence official and former Marine officer who has been arraigned on conspiracy and theft of government property charges relating to weapons procurement, pointed to his client’s military record and said the government’s case would fail. Mr. Ryan cited his client’s Silver Star and Bronze Star medals, and said that the defense would focus on “clearing his good name.”
