Stephen Kranz said that the cost for the Multistate Tax Commission to create a joint transfer pricing audit program for the states would “be significant’’ for the MTC. “For the states to do this right, they need to staff it with people who have the right skills—not only the traditional audit skills, but the capacity to evaluate the economics,” Mr. Kranz said.
