McDermott was among the law firms participating in “Out in Law,” a daylong event at New York University School of Law that brought together LGBT lawyers and supporters from 18 New York law firms to talk about how promoting an LGBT-friendly culture helps firms with recruitment efforts, business relationships and client development.
