Sam Dewey commented on the possibility of the Ways and Means Committee pursuing legal action to request President Trump’s tax returns. “Treasury did an incredibly good job of establishing that this is the extreme outlier case where it’s clear there may be an abusive purpose,” Dewey said. “I think because of that, what should have been a layup in court for the committee has gone to a toss-up where it could go either way.”
