BOSTON - McDermott Will & Emery is honored to congratulate Robert Cordy, Partner-In-Charge of the Firm's Boston office, on his recent appointment as Associate Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Mr. Cordy was nominated by Governor Paul Cellucci on December 12 for the state's Supreme Judicial Court and was confirmed by the Governor's Council on January 3, 2001. He will be sworn in as an associate justice in early February.

Mr. Cordy joined McDermott in 1993 and was appointed to Partner-In-Charge of the Boston office in 1998. While at the firm, Mr. Cordy focused his practice on business/government relations, complex federal and state commercial litigation, white-collar criminal defense for individuals and corporate entities, and administrative law. Prior to joining McDermott, he served as chief legal counsel to former Governor William F. Weld (R-Mass.)
