NEW YORK (February 28, 2006) — Driven by the continued growth of its New York practice, McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce the relocation of its New York office from Rockefeller Plaza to a substantially larger space at 340 Madison Avenue. McDermott's New York office opened in 1988 with fewer than 20 lawyers through a local acquisition. Now, less than two decades later, the Firm has nearly 150 lawyers practicing from its New York office.

The Firm’s New York office added 16 lateral partners and 19 associates in 2005. In the first two months of 2006, the Firm has welcomed another six attorneys. Over the past five years, there has been a nearly 30 percent increase in the number of lawyers based in McDermott's New York office.
