NEW YORK (September 28, 2010) — Today, for the fifth consecutive year, McDermott Will & Emery LLP was named one of the “Best Places to Work” in the United States for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Additionally, for the fifth year in a row, McDermott once again earned a perfect score (100 percent) on HRC’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI), which assesses six broad measures of organizational support for policies and practices that promote fairness and equality in the workplace for LGBT employees.
Lisa A. Linsky, McDermott’s partner-in-charge of Firm-wide Diversity, said, “It’s very rewarding that McDermott has received a perfect score on HRC’s Corporate Equality Index for the last five years, as the Firm has significantly expanded its diversity activities during this time. McDermott proudly supports diversity efforts as demonstrated by our Diversity Statement, the expansion of our EEO policy and the implementation of our diversity education programs. As chair of the Firm’s LGBT Diversity Committee, I expect to continue to enhance equality and inclusion in the workplace based on our Firm’s commitment to integrity, fairness and excellence.”
