WASHINGTON (June 9, 2011) — International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that associate Brandon H. Barnes has been appointed as one of the Vice Chairs of the American Bar Association (ABA) Young Lawyers Division for the Environmental, Energy, and Resources Law Committee for 2011-2012. As part of the leadership committee, Brandon will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the committee’s strategic priorities and programs including the development of various practices series, seminars and article content for young attorneys looking to increase their legal sector knowledge.

Barnes is an associate in McDermott’s Trial Practice Group and is based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C., office. He focuses his practice on toxic torts and environmental law. He graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law, J.D. (cum laude), 2009 and the University of North Carolina, B.A., 2002.
