Rome and Milan (28 October 2011) — McDermott Will & Emery Studio Legale Associato is shortlisted in four categories of TopLegal’s prestigious fifth annual awards which are taking place on the evening of the 21st of November in Milan. The Firm has been nominated in the category of “Tax Firm of the Year” and in the professional categories of: “Managing Partner of the Year” (Massimo Trentino), “Competition and EU Partner of the Year” (Veronica Pinotti) and “Energy Partner of the Year” (Carsten Steinhauer).
A panel of independent, distinguished judges, which include many of Italy’s business leaders, will now deliberate the information received from all shortlisted firms with a view of deciding the final outcome for each category on the night of the awards ceremony.
Launched in 2004, TopLegal magazine is the first Italian legal market monthly that targets lawyers in corporate commercial practices and their clients, as well as members of the wider corporate and investment community.
“We are delighted with these nominations at this year’s TopLegal awards. They are a result of the hard work, dedication and good reputation of our partners,” said Massimo Trentino, head of the Firm’s Italy Practice. “These nominations reflect that our quality experience in advising clients on antitrust, energy and tax matters is widely recognised in the Italian market.”
“Massimo’s nomination by TopLegal for managing partner of the year -- and the additional recognition of our tax partners, Veronica and Carsten -- are well deserved honors,” added Peter J. Sacripanti, co-chair of McDermott Will & Emery, based in New York. “All are exceptional lawyers who are working as a team to build McDermott’s strong reputation in the Italian legal market.”
