Scott Susko predicted “no uptick” in state economic incentives, because “the general trend is to limit them. There is much more competition, for less incentives and credits. Many states have revamped certain credit and incentive programs and have severely limited or capped the available incentives.” He noted that in Massachusetts “there is also a trend to move away from incentives and [tax] breaks to manufacturers and aim them more at new industries like life sciences.”
