April 26, 2013 - McDermott Will & Emery was ranked among the top international law firms in Chambers Europe 2013, the leading guide to law firms across Europe. 10 of the Firm’s practices and 24 lawyers were distinguished in the guide across the Firm’s continental European offices in Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Munich and Rome.
McDermott’s German corporate practice achieved a tier 1 ranking for the second year in a row in the Corporate/M&A: Mid-Market table. Sources praised the practice commenting that "the lawyers are extremely cost-sensitive and understand family-owned companies. They offer an excellent, comprehensive service."
Of the 24 McDermott lawyers that were distinguished in the guide, five were new for the Firm this year: Frankfurt partners Philipp von Ilberg and Sabine Konrad were recognized in the German Capital Markets: Equity and Dispute Resolution: Arbitration Counsel tables respectively and Jean-Claude Petilon, who recently joined the Firm’s Paris office, continues to be recommended in the French International Projects table.
