D.C. Managing Partners, a Special Report: McDermott Will & Emery
The National Law Journal, August 26, 2013
Bobby Burchfield and Paul Thompson spoke in this interview as McDermott Washington office co-heads. Mr. Thompson noted that “when Congress does anything or doesn't do something, it generally generates legal work in some way or another,” and Mr. Burchfield agreed that “we have tried to position ourselves as a firm and certainly as an office to take advantage of that through our health practice, our government relations practice, our tax practice.” Among the practices that the lawyers expect to be busy in the future are tax policy, health care, antitrust, IP litigation and administrative litigation.
