Linda Doyle answered hypothetical questions about potential overtime pay for such white collar workers as administrative assistants, junior analysts, sales representatives and executives, and assistant managers. For example, Ms. Doyle noted that a high-paid sales executive who works 70 hours per week would not qualify for overtime, both due to the job’s substantial pay and the discretion and independent judgment it requires.
