LONDON (3 October, 2016) - International law firm McDermott Will & Emery announced today that it has appointed Russell Hampshire as Tax Principal in its London office.
Mr. Hampshire joins from KPMG LLP (UK) where he was a partner. As well as extensive client work he was the EMEA Tax Industry Leader for the Technology Sector for 14 years and was the Global Tax Industry Lead for Life Sciences for 3 years. In these roles, he ensured the delivery of a coordinated tax service to the relevant sectors and effective knowledge sharing of key industry tax issues.
Mr. Hampshire has over 30 years’ experience specializing in corporation tax for US inbounds and multinationals operating within the high tech and life sciences sectors. He advises clients on managing their corporate tax affairs from basic tax compliance/HMRC enquiries to M&A and international tax planning. He has extensive experience in tax aspects of the value chain and resultant transfer pricing, as well as in assessing the impact of the proposed BEPS changes and UK DPT legislation transfer pricing and corporate tax. His clients have included many US west-coast based multinational companies in the technology sector as well as leading UK based Pharmaceutical companies.
