Peter B. Allport focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, including securities, fiduciary, and trust and estate litigation. He has appeared in and represented clients in federal and state courts across the country as well as before federal and state regulatory agencies. He regularly represents fiduciaries in derivative shareholder litigation, securities class litigation, will contests, trust contests, will and trust construction and reformation suits, and other fiduciary litigation.
Peter also dedicates his time to pro bono efforts. Among other achievements, Peter obtained the reversal and remand of a client's criminal conviction after arguing his appeal before the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
Previously, Peter served as a law clerk to the Honorable Virginia M. Kendall, US District Court Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.
