Judith (Judy) Davis practices for the McDermott Discovery Practice Group and for McDermott's Pro Bono program.
Drawing on more than a decade of e-discovery experience, she performs document review and evaluations to determine the relevancy, confidentiality and privilege status of electronic and hard copy documents, edits privilege logs and creates deposition binders. Working with various practice groups throughout the Firm, including Trial, Labor & Employment and Intellectual Property, Judy has helped facilitate the discovery process. She has been involved in cases related to government investigations, securities, antitrust, pharmaceuticals, Medicaid and Medicare fraud, copyright and patent infringement, breach of contract, employee benefits, wrongful terminations, payola, commodity trades and carrier misrouting, as well as class actions and internal investigations.
In November 2014, Judy's role expanded to provide Firm-wide support to the Pro Bono and Community Service Partner. Since serving in this position, Judy has organized clinics with The Center for Disability and Elder Law, as well as the National Immigrant Justice Center with high attorney participation leading to successful case outcomes. On a daily basis, Judy reviews department financial data, communicates with other attorneys and establishes partnerships regarding opportunities and screens organizations on GuideStar. Judy is also a contributing editor to the Firm's annual Social Responsibility Report.
