Ramyar M. Farid focuses his practice on prosecuting patent applications across a wide range of technologies. Leveraging his experience in conducting examiner interviews, Ramyar has adopted an aggressive approach to expedite prosecution and minimize unnecessary prosecution history. He has also developed a successful strategy for obviating §101 rejections based on the Alice case.
Ramyar has worked on various litigation matters assisting deposition, discovery and patent license review. He also has experience conducting patent validity/infringement analysis, drafting opinion letters, performing due diligence studies on third-party patent portfolios and counseling clients on licensing issues.

Previously, Ramyar was a patent examiner for the US Patent and Trademark Office for several years, where he examined patent applications pertaining to various mechanical and electrical art. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
