Hosang Lee focuses his practice on patent prosecution, licensing and litigation. His patent practice covers a wide range of disciplines, including automotive technologies such as engine control, electric and hybrid vehicles, navigation systems and electric parking systems, semiconductor devices, lighting devices, landline and wireless communications, electronic materials, fuel cell technology, solar energy and green technology, medical devices and display devices, including plasma display panels (PDPs), liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs).
Hosang has significant experience in intellectual property (IP) strategic planning, patent portfolio management and opinion work, licensing and litigation. He has prepared and prosecuted US and non-US patent applications, performed IP due diligence and conducted patentability, infringement, validity and freedom-to-operate analyses. Hosang also has structured and negotiated licensing agreements, and litigated patent and trade secret cases. He is active in post-issuance US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) proceedings such as reissues and inter partes review, covered business method patent review and post grant review.
Previously, Hosang worked as a patent attorney in Korea. He has extensive experience in counseling Korean and international clients in the United States and Korea.
Hosang received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
