Matthew (Matt) E. Leno focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark and trade secret matters, as well as inter partes reviews before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He also implements and executes patent portfolio management, invention harvesting, patent prosecution and intellectual property transactions. In addition, Matt has defended national firms accused of patent attorney malpractice.
Matt has represented clients across various industries, including medical devices, cell phone technology, semiconductors, internet, information filtering technology, data communications, data storage, tracking systems and software, manufacturing, chemical processing and consumer packaging.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, he served two years as a patent examiner for the US Patent and Trademark Office. Matt earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering.
