Lauren Martin focuses her practice on patent litigation, and has significant experience in the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and the chemical arts. She helps clients strategize and litigate patent portfolios in the US and abroad, including in Europe, Japan and Australia. Lauren also advises pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients on patent prosecution and portfolio management.
Lauren has litigated several patent infringement cases, from the pleading stages through trial and/or settlement, and has extensive experience with Hatch-Waxman pharmaceutical cases involving formulation, method of manufacture and method of treatment claims. She also has first-hand knowledge of motion practice at all stages of litigation and routinely handles fact and expert discovery matters, including taking and defending depositions.
Lauren is actively involved in the Firm’s pro bono program, with a particular focus on immigration law. She has represented pro bono clients at trial, in hearings and in mediation.
While in law school, Lauren was a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert Dow, Jr.
