Maximilian Pika focuses his practice on international arbitration matters, including commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration and public international law.
Maximilian studied at Bucerius Law School and the University of Sydney as Studienstiftung scholar. As a legal trainee, he worked for the corporate departments of international law firms in Frankfurt and Tokyo. Being an active alumnus of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, he founded a moot capacity building project in Ethiopia in 2016.
Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Maximilian was Research Fellow at the Heidelberg Institute for Comparative Law and completed a doctoral dissertation on an arbitration topic within the International Max Planck Research School for Dispute Resolution.
