Alan S. Rutkoff, PC is General Counsel Emeritus. For many years prior to his appointment as the Firm’s General Counsel, he advised and defended lawyers, accountants and other professionals in connection with liability matters. He also focused his practice on complex business, corporate and labor litigation. He has extensive experience before administrative agencies and arbitration tribunals.
Alan has worked extensively in litigation matters in the context of mergers and acquisitions, securities fraud, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), unfair competition, trusts and estates, real estate, partnerships and business dissolutions. He has practiced in appellate courts throughout the country. He presently serves as an adjunct Professor of Law at Northwestern University School of Law, where he teaches legal ethics. While in law school, he was a member of the Northwestern Law Review.
