Dr. Bajar Scharaw, LLM focuses on international dispute resolution, with a special emphasis on public international law and investment treaty arbitration. He is involved in arbitration proceedings under the ICSID Convention and other relevant international and regional arbitration rules.
Bajar holds a PhD in international law from the University of Mannheim, law degrees from the University of Constance (First State Exam) and the University of Queensland (LLM), and a degree in political sciences (BA) from the University of Erfurt. During his time as a legal trainee (Second State Exam), he also worked for renowned German and international law firms in Germany and London. Prior to joining McDermott, Bajar was a research fellow at the University of Mannheim.
