Alexandra C. Scheibe focuses her practice on representing financial institutions in structuring and negotiating a broad range of derivatives and structured finance products, and blockchain projects, cryptocurrency funds and financial technology companies on all aspects of their blockchain token offerings and related regulatory and transactional matters.
Alexandra has also developed deep knowledge in the field of derivatives and regularly advises clients on a wide range of derivatives structured notes and securitization transactions in the municipal and tax-exempt markets.
In recent years, Alexandra has also advised financial institutions and other market participants in connection distressed municipal debt offerings, and bankruptcy and restructuring issues in the municipal and tax-exempt markets.
Since joining McDermott in 2004, Alexandra has been an active leader in the Firm. She is currently a member of the Firm’s Technology Advisory Board and the Firm’s Associate Review Committee.
Alexandra is also a member of the Futures and Derivatives Regulation Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and a member of the Innovative Digitized Products and Processes Subcommittee and the Derivatives and Futures Law Committee of the American Bar Association.
