Lee A. Schneider focuses his practice on representing US and non-US broker-dealers, banks, blockchain projects, private fund sponsors and financial services technology companies. He counsels clients on a wide range of matters, including regulatory and enforcement issues, conduct of business questions, and general corporate concerns.
Lee works with transactional lawyers on structuring and negotiations when deals involve financial services and technology companies, and on blockchain token offerings, including so-called ICOs. He regularly assists both financial services firms and their vendors in negotiating technology agreements for all types of services and considering the regulatory issues associated with such technologies.
Lee is a frequent speaker and writer on various topics in FinTech, with a particular focus on distributed ledger technology and blockchain tokens. He also co-hosts the FinTech podcast “Appetite for Disruption” with former SEC Commissioner Troy Paredes.
Prior to joining McDermott, Lee was the head of the broker-dealer regulatory and FinTech practices at another international law firm.
