Erica Stocker focuses her practice on health care, including provider reimbursements, quality of care and patient safety.
Erica has extensive experience in government and politics, having spent nearly a decade on Capitol Hill. Her background is concentrated in health care, having closely followed every major piece of health legislation for the last ten years - most recently, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. She has direct experience with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, the Health Resources and Services Administration and other federal agencies.
Erica advises clients on matters ranging from health care to homeland security. She works with health care clients such as hospital systems, information technology (IT) provider and biotech companies, providing them with regular policy updates, in addition to research and analysis on other timely legislative and regulatory matters.
Previously, Erica was a public policy advisor at a prominent law firm. Before that, she served as legislative assistant and later deputy chief of staff to then-Representative Jim Saxton. In those roles, she served as a policy advisor on health care, education and appropriations matters, worked closely with congressional leadership and administration officials, drafted federal legislation, tracked major legislative proposals and managed the activities of a bipartisan congressional caucus.
