With the upcoming changes to the America Invents Act (AIA) due to take effect on March 17, 2013, and a new United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) office opening in San Jose, patent practice in the Silicon Valley will require practitioners to not only be aware of the new rules, but how best to navigate them to the benefit of their clients.
Please join McDermott Will & Emery for a program that addresses the new AIA rule implementations and an introduction to the upcoming USPTO Office in San Jose.
Janet Gongola, Patent Reform Coordinator, USPTO
James D. Smith, Chief Administrative Patent Judge, Patent Trial and Appeal Board
