The Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot is the oldest and most prestigious student competition in the area of investment protection law. Its focus is on the oral presentation of legal arguments before an arbitral tribunal composed of specialists in the field. The event is unique in that it combines the law of investment protection, one of the most modern and fastest developing areas of international law, with the history of international law and of international trade.
Sabine Konrad founded this event. It is co-organized by Sabine Konrad, Lisa Richman and Arne Fuchs of McDermott Will & Emery and the Merton Zentrum für Europäische Integration und Internationale Wirtschaftsordnung at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt.
The theme of this year's Moot Court is "The Perfumes of Arabia (based on the papers found in the Cairo Geniza)."
