Please join McDermott Will & Emery for an engaging and timely luncheon designed for financial industry clients affected by the enforcement program of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Through its enforcement efforts, the CFPB aided efforts to refund more than $867 million to consumers, and deposited more than $119 million into its Civil Penalty Fund.
Tony Alexis, acting director of enforcement for the CFPB, will provide a “Working with CFPB’s Office of Enforcement” address on recent developments at the Office of Enforcement with respect to mortgage lending, credit card practices, auto financing programs, payday lending and other practices, as well as priorities that lie ahead. Following his address, a panel of representatives from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Financial Services Roundtable and the Consumer Federation of America will have the opportunity to pose questions to Tony. The floor will then be opened for further discussion. Lunch will be provided.
