We are pleased to invite you to join us for McDermott Will & Emery’s Korea Symposium 2016—Europe in Focus.
During this symposium, we focus our attention to Europe, as we are seeing more and more of our Korean clients significantly increasing their business activities in Europe. Whether the European market entry and growth are facilitated by mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures or commercial agreements, these increases have also led to rises in antitrust scrutiny from EU regulators and commercial disputes with European business partners and other counterparties. Our symposium will include the most relevant trends and recent lessons learned from European cross-border transactions, EU antitrust and international arbitration cases presented in a concise, structured and analytical format—designed to be of the utmost use to our attendees.
Our moderator and panelists are the most respected practitioners in their respective fields:
Plenary Session: Europe in Focus (15:00 – 17:00)
Moderator: Neil I. Chang (Partner, Seoul)
- Christian von Sydow (Partner, Munich), European Cross-Border Transactions
- Christian Krohs (Partner, Düsseldorf), EU Antitrust
- Jacob Grierson (Partner, Paris), International Arbitration
Wine Reception (18:00 – 21:00)
The symposium will be followed by a wine reception to be held at our Seoul office in Mirae Asset Center One. We are belatedly celebrating the official certification of Neil I. Chang by the Ministry of Justice. In keeping with the European focus of the symposium, we will offer the best wines from Europe, particularly those from Burgundy, Bordeaux and Germany, along with a light dinner. We invite you to join us for a fun evening of good company, fine wines and lively conversations.
