On July 25, 2006, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published in final form its 2007 Medicare Marketing Guidelines for Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, Medicare Advantage-Prescription Drug (MA-PD) plans, Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs) and 1876 Cost Plans.
Although the Medicare Marketing Guidelines are directed primarily at health plans participating in Medicare Parts C and D, they are relevant to all parties involved in the Medicare Advantage program and Medicare Part D, including subcontractors, physicians and other providers, and pharmacies that manage or deliver prescription medications.
