Overview
Michael R. Fayhee advises clients on transactional matters, with particular emphasis on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and the related financing required for such transactions.
Michael serves on the Firm’s Executive Committee and previously chaired the Firm’s Tax Business Unit, which includes more than 200 lawyers who concentrate on employee benefits, labor and employment, private client, state and local tax, and US and international tax.
Michael lectures frequently on tax matters and has taught in the master of tax program at John Marshall Law School.

- Acted as general counsel to a multibillion-dollar dairy food company
- Advised on structuring a management-led employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) to acquire 30 percent of a food brokerage concern
- Counsels entities in the Farm Credit System
- Negotiated the acquisition of a $150 million German manufacturing concern
- Led a legal team in the sale of a publicly traded company to a foreign buyer for more than $1 billion
