Kieran Kieckhefer focuses her practice on patent, copyright and trade secrets law.
Kieran is an intellectual property trial lawyer. She has participated in eleven trials involving patent, antitrust, copyright, trade secrets, breach of employment contracts, criminal and family law subject areas. She is currently serving as co-lead counsel on a large patent case and has previously served as lead counsel on six trials, trial counsel on two other trials, and has participated in three other large intellectual property trials.
Kieran has litigated patent, copyright and trade secret cases in federal courts across the country, and also has a breadth of experience before federal appellate courts, including the Ninth Circuit, Federal Circuit and the US Supreme Court. She has handled cases in fields such as software, internet-related technologies and semiconductor design technologies.
Kieran is actively involved in the support and mentorship of women in the law. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Kieran previously worked at another top Am Law 100 firm in Silicon Valley and, in 2012, had the privilege of serving the City and County of San Francisco as an assistant district attorney.
