Enron Still Matters, 15 Years After Its Collapse



Michael Peregrine wrote this bylined article on the Enron bankruptcy, which he called “where it all began in terms of … the board policies, procedures and codes of ethics to which today’s corporate directors are subject,” because of “the lessons learned from the staggering oversight failures of the Enron board.” Current business controversies, Mr. Peregrine warned, “suggest that Enron-style oversight failures could be occurring in some of today’s corporate boardrooms.”
