Todd Solomon told an International Bar Association panel that, regarding the rights of LGBT employees outside the US, « it’s a very challenging issue of how you protect employees outside your walls, and there’s no good answer. » The best thing a company can do, he continued, is to be sensitive about the issue and engage the employee in the decision. « It’s probably best not to say, ‘Take it or you’re dismissed,' » Mr. Solomon added. « That could lead to a discrimination claim that would be ugly and messy for everyone involved. »
