In Light of Clean Power Plan Stay, the World Watches US Commitment to Paris Goal


Jacob Hollinger said that while the Supreme Court’s stay of the Obama Administration’s Clean Power Plan creates uncertainty about meeting the Paris climate change accord goals, “I think that the U.S. was probably going to have to do more in addition to that to meet those commitments,” such as restricting methane emissions from the oil and gas sector. Mr. Hollinger added that, because the Court has not yet ruled on the merits of the Plan, it could still be upheld and thus help to meet the Paris goals. Read the full article.
