Judge Says Army Can’t Require Special Testing of Sikh Officer


Amandeep Sidhu discussed the representation of a Sikh officer who sued the US Army to prevent the special testing on whether his hair, turban and beard interfered with the fit and function of his helmet and gas mask. Following a federal court decision to halt the testing, Mr. Sidhu said that his client “is relieved to be able to continue serving without having to be subjected to discriminatory testing, but at this point, he’s still in limbo” in regards to a permanent accommodation for his articles of faith.
