When a Non-Compete Agreement Can Lead to Compensation


Volker Teigelkötter was interviewed regarding issues in the U.S. versus German use of non-complete agreements. Mr. Teigelkötter noted that “a pure non-solicitation” agreement was “something companies could, at least in Germany, agree to in principle,” but added that “there is an additional dispute on whether it would stop a worker to go actively and on his own to the employer. That, of course, would have a direct effect on his salary situation.”
