With Comey Firing, Will the FBI Succumb to a Politicized Atmosphere?


Stephen Ryan said the firing of FBI Director Comey is important because “the morale of the agency and how the more than 15,000 agents view themselves are based on how people view the director.” The bigger concern, Mr. Ryan continued, is how FBI upper management will make decisions on current difficult investigations, but he added that “for the day-to-day work of the agents out on the street, they are going to do the same things they normally do.”
