Dr. Johannes Honzen advises national and international companies as well as private equity and other financial investors on real estate matters, in particular on real estate transactions and joint ventures.
He has significant experience in complex single asset and portfolio transactions by way of asset deals, share deals or joint venture structures. In recent years, Johannes has been involved in a large number of major real estate transactions in various asset classes and, in this context, has primarily advised large international real estate funds as well as national companies on all aspects of real estate and corporate law.
Prior to joining McDermott Will & Emery in January 2022, Johannes worked for a leading German law firm in Frankfurt, Munich and London in the areas of real estate, M&A and private equity.
Advised Blackstone in connection with acquisitions and sales of major single assets and real estate portfolios in various asset classes as well as asset management matters, in particular, on the acquisition of the Oberbaum City and the Leibniz-Kolonnaden in Berlin and the Arabella Bogen in Munich as well as on the sale of the Munich project MediaWorks and the ABC Bogen in Hamburg*
