Overview


Mr. Fuchs focuses his practice on international commercial arbitration and public international law, including investment treaty arbitration. He has experience with disputes conducted under the ICSID Convention, ICC, LCIA, HKIAC, SCAI, DIS and UNCITRAL Rules as well as with pure ad hoc arbitration. He is also acting as (sole) arbitrator and has served as secretary of the tribunal in numerous international arbitrations (commercial and treaty).

  • Defending the Federal Republic of Germany in ICSID Case No. ARB/12/12
  • Representing a German bank in its dispute with the Italian Republic concerning investments in the energy sector worth approximately EUR 250 million
  • Representing an Eastern European State against claims by an Eastern European individual in an investment arbitration concerning the mining sector under UNCITRAL Rules (1976) with an amount in dispute in excess of EUR 400 million
