David Henry is a practising UK barrister, whose practice focuses on European competition law, including merger control, cartels and abuse of dominance, and the interaction between antitrust and intellectual property. He represents companies and trade associations in the aluminium, air transport, car parts, chemicals, electronics, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, power generation, food retailing and financial services and payment systems sectors. He also advises clients in proceedings before the European courts and national competition authorities. David also has considerable experience in export control matters, dispute resolution and white-collar crime.
David has spoken and written extensively on competition law. In recognition of his writing on competition matters, LexisNexis has included David in its Lexis®PSL Competition Expert Lawyers Group. The European courts have also cited his written work. David will be co-editor with Jacques Buhart of the 5th edition of Leniency Regimes.
David is a lecturer on the course entitled Advanced European Competition Law at the University of Liège, Belgium. He has also worked at the European Parliament in Brussels. He completed a pupillage at a « magic circle » set of commercial chambers in London. Before joining the Firm, David worked as an associate at another leading international competition law practice in Brussels.
