Joshua (Josh) Hill advises clients on a wide variety of corporate, transactional, governance and regulatory matters, specific to health care. Josh’s transaction practice predominantly involves advising hospitals, health systems and medical foundation clinics in complex transactions, including mergers, asset and stock acquisitions, asset and stock dispositions and divestitures, joint ventures and other affiliations.
Josh has extensive experience in hospital-physician transactions, including physician practice acquisitions, surgery center acquisitions and joint ventures, service line expansions, clinical integration arrangements and structuring physician compensation arrangements.
Josh also advises clients on corporate, nonprofit/tax-exempt and health care regulatory compliance issues. These include advising on federal and state fraud and abuse laws, licensure and accreditation issues, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Health Information for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH) privacy and security, formation of accountable care organizations and medical foundation clinics, and corporate formation and governance issues.
