Emma Jolley advises clients on non-contentious corporate restructuring, turnaround and formal insolvency matters. Her clients include senior and junior lenders, special servicers, borrowers, insolvency practitioners and private equity funds with a particular focus on the real estate, retail and leisure sectors. Emma has experience in advising on complex insolvency, security and enforcement issues, high profile debt restructurings, insolvency sales, and advising corporate debtors and directors of companies in financial difficulties.


  • Represented a syndicate of senior lenders on a cross jurisdictional £1.6 billion restructuring which led to the acquisition of 25 Canada Square, more commonly known as Citi Tower, in Canary Wharf. This was one of the biggest UK property deals in 2013
  • Represented the coordinating committee for a syndicate of senior lenders on a £250 million debt restructuring in respect of a chain of UK hotels
  • Represented Aareal Bank AG in its capacity as senior lender/agent on a significant restructuring in respect of a landmark office building in the City of London
