Kyla Miller focuses her practice on labor and employment issues. Kyla represents and counsels clients in employment law matters including race, national origin, sex and age discrimination and retaliation in both single plaintiff and class contexts. Kyla has experience working on cases brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, Family Medical Leave Act and other employment laws. Kyla’s experience includes litigating against the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, both at the early charge stage, administrative subpoena enforcement actions, and large-scale pattern or practice litigation.
Kyla also regularly counsels clients on various issues, including policy development and review. Kyla has extensive experience counseling clients on state requirements for employee sexual harassment training and policy compliance.
While in law school, Kyla was president of the Labor and Employment Law Society, a member of the National Employment Law Moot Court Team and was a published member of Loyola’s Consumer Law Review. Kyla also served as an extern for Justice Michael B. Hyman in the Illinois Appellate Court and was inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society.
