Alicia Videon specializes in restructuring, insolvency and non-performing loan sales. She has over 25 years’ experience representing lenders and borrowers, as well as distressed investors and other stakeholders, involved in local and multi-jurisdictional situations. Alicia has advised on a number of high-profile restructuring cases, including most recently a number of significant commercial real estate and property finance matters. Alicia also advises buyers and sellers of distressed debt, assisting in negotiating and documenting trades and implementing trading and investment strategies.
Alicia started her career in Australia, before moving to Hong Kong and then London, and joins McDermott from a renowned international law firm based in London. Alicia’s focus is on providing rapid and commercial input on strategic issues, coordinating and implementing all elements of restructuring through both formal and informal processes. She also works with a number of charities, particularly focusing on the rights of disadvantaged and marginalized women.
