Li Wang focuses her practice on healthcare regulatory and compliance matters, including Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Law; eligibility for Medicaid supplemental payments; federal, state, and local taxation of nonprofit healthcare entities; value-based reimbursements and audit methodology of Medicaid reimbursements. She also works on transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions in the healthcare industry. She also has experience counseling clients on tax compliance and reporting for real estate investment trusts (REITs), partnerships and limited liability companies.
Li’s pro bono practice includes working with the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles to resolve landlord-tenant disputes; the Los Angeles Superior Court Resource Center for Self-Represented Litigants assisting pro se litigants with family matters; and the Alliance for Children’s Rights assisting petitioners secure guardianship of minors.
While in law school, Li was a senior editor for the UCLA Law Review and deputy chief managing editor for the Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs.
