More Paid Sick Leave: The New Trend Sweeping California



Chris Scheithauer and Michael Graham wrote this bylined article about mandated sick leave for employees in California. A new state law says the total cap on sick leave accrual cannot be less than six days (48 hours), but the authors wrote that various cities in the state “have gone further and require employers to offer even more paid sick leave than that required statewide. Employers with employees throughout California must be wary of this patchwork of laws and ordinances.”
