McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce the arrival of Jason S. Koenig as a partner in the Transactions Practice Group in the Firm’s New York office. With experience advising top-tier private equity firms in all aspects of their investments, Jason will help clients navigate complex transactions.
Jason focuses his practice on transactional work, with an emphasis on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures involving private equity sponsors. He works with clients on all aspects of their investments and represents clients in both private and public mergers and acquisitions. Jason spent several years as a financial advisor at a multinational investment bank before returning to practicing law, giving him a unique and fulsome perspective from which to advise clients.
“Clients appreciate that McDermott lawyers understand their business and can serve not only as legal counsel but also as strategic partners,” said Harris Siskind, global head of the Firm’s Transactions Practice Group. “Jason’s experience will be particularly valuable as we continue to enhance our corporate transactions offerings.”
“McDermott has a fantastic global platform from which to advise private equity firms, and I’m looking forward to bringing this network and my own experience to bear for clients on a range of transactional and investment issues,” said Jason. “It’s an exciting opportunity to join such a dynamic and high-caliber team and contribute to the Firm’s strategic growth in this area.”
