International law firm McDermott Will & Emery announced the appointment of employment partner Pankit Doshi as Office Managing Partner for the Firm’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. “The Bay Area is all about innovation and creativity—and achieving fantastic success as a result. We are so proud of how our local team embodies this spirit and know that Pankit will continue to accelerate our tremendous growth in the region,” said Ira Coleman, McDermott Chairman. “He brings such extraordinary talent and genuine warmth to all that he does—both for our clients and our team members—and we are thrilled for him to take on this role.”
Pankit succeeds Bill Gaede in this role, a California-based IP partner who was recently took on the role of global lead for the Intellectual Property practice.
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to advance both our brand and our business in the Bay area,” said Pankit. “Bill did a terrific job laying the groundwork for success—including staking the Firm’s claim in the San Fransisco market. I plan to build on that foundation by ensuring we’re equating our clients’ success with our own, providing meaningful mentorship and professional development opportunities to our team, and helping our local community thrive. I look forward to working closely with my colleagues around the world to make McDermott a partner and employer of choice in the Bay area.”
